DIY No Sew Farmhouse Style Drop cloth Curtains

$30 pair

The new house in Connecticut has 3 bedrooms and a master suite.  Being that we are "empty-nesters" now, we have 3 rooms that can be turned into something else since the kids won't occupy them.  I really don't appreciate wasted space so each room needs to be used for more than just a dust collecting guest room.

One of the rooms will be called the 'military room' and I am excited to design it in a vintage army style with muted earthy tone colors, along with burlap and a rustic undertone. (If that makes any sense)... no, I am not a designer and don't know the language - I just know what I like.

Today I put up the curtains.  Paint drop cloths worked brilliantly to go with my theme!

Supplies:
$10 each - 6x9 Medium Duty 8oz Canvas Drop Cloth (Lowe's)
$5 each - Clip Rings - Oil Rubbed Bronze, fits up to 1" rods, 7 in a pack (Walmart)

I washed the drop cloths and then hung them - folding the cloth at the top so it will slightly hang on the floor.

Can't wait to hang the American Flag made of wood by Flags of Valor! It was a gift from our most awesome neighbor back in New York. Hard to even call him a neighbor, he was more like family. (We miss you Joe!)

hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
